Fall 2009
by TonyFall 2009 has come to an end. It was a great year, but very different in terms of weather. October was one of the coldest on record, it was followed by a mild November which seemed to be full of east winds. December was right on course with cold weather and snow. All in all, we were blessed to have alot of good habitat and alot of food….therefore alot of ducks!!!!!!!! Here is a little picture essay of the 2009 duck season here at Habitat Flats…..
Aaron preparing the fleet of Mallardview Outdoors Ice Eaters…these things are priceless when it starts freezing!
Can you find the two ice eaters in the photo below??!!!!!!
Blacks………….or blonds????!!!!!!!!! This was my first ever blond!
One of the best days of my season…hunting with my Dad and watching him roll his 4 green out in the first 10 minutes of shooting time!
Finished duck season off with a REALLY BIG GOOSE…..lol
Thanks to everybody that came, helped, hunted, and made it such a memorable fall!!!! Looking forward to shooting some Canadas in January, getting started on the snows in February, and getting our management plan together for another great fall!!!
