Setting the table….

by Tony

When it’s not hunting season at Habitat Flats, our time is spent getting ready for the next season!  Our corn is planted and looking good.  Still have tons of moist soil foods to plant later in the summer.  With all the water on the breeding grounds and rumors of bumper hatches of fowl, it’s going to be another great year!  Now is the time to be getting in touch with us about securing dates for the upcoming seasons, feel free to call us or drop us an email.

Dan busy on the planter…

Looks like Dan’s little helpers (son Cole and buddy JT) found a little mud while Dan was up in the tractor!

Everything we do at Habitat Flats is always family and youth oriented.  There is no better way to teach the next generation than to have them there helping out.

Oh Canada…

by Tony

After a busy spring chasing snow geese and turkeys…..there is nothing I look forward to more than our annual fishing trip to Canada!  Chasing pre spawn smallmouths with my Dad, two uncles, and 5 of our friends is a blast.  The fishing was good as usual, with the pre spawn smallies chomping.  There were also still some big walleyes up shallow with the smallies.  Dad had a couple just shy of 10 lbs and I had one that went 11 lbs 3 oz!
