In celebration of our 10th Anniversary, the Habitat Flats Youth Camp is a 2 Day, 3 Night grand prize weekend at Habitat Flats designed for youth to learn about all things waterfowling. This fun and educational weekend is geared towards educating the next generation about respecting and participating in the outdoors. Activities will range from calling techniques and retriever training to lessons in conservation on the Habitat Flats Farms. Tony Vandemore will be the Head Coach, accompanied by accomplished waterfowling leaders from the Habitat Flats team. Winners will arrive at the Missouri Lodge on the evening of Thursday, June 7, and depart the morning of Sunday, June 10. Winning packages include all camp activities, photographs, lodging, meals, non-alcolohic beverages and snacks. Transportation during the weekend and travel to Habitat Flats are not provided. Youth hunters, ages 10 –18, are called to compose a 300-word paragraph describing what waterfowling means to them, and how they hope to positively impact our industry as the next generation of waterfowlers. The contestant’s name, age and date of birth should be located in the top lefthand corner of the essay. Legal Guardians must submit the contestant essays, as the official entrants must be 21 or older. (Note: Legal Guardians are only entering the sweepstakes for youth participant by submitting the finished essay. The essay must be written by the youth contestant.)
12 Winners will be chosen by the Habitat Flats Team based on the quality and thoughtfulness of their essays. Experience hunting is not required, but a love of our heritage and waterfowling future is! Winners will be selected from the following 3 Age Groups. One legal guardian must accompany each winner to the Youth Camp.
Group 1, Ages 16 – 18: 4 Winners
Group 2, Ages 13 – 15: 4 Winners
Group 3, Ages 10 – 12: 4 Winners
Essays are to be entered through the entry form below. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest begins 12:01 a.m. CT on January 1, 2018 and ends 11:59 p.m. CT on March 1, 2018. Contest submissions open only to citizens and legal permanent residents of the 50 U.S. and D.C. age 21 or older. Void where prohibited by law. Contest subject to full official rules.
